I made your Armadillo Eggs this past weekend. I changed the recipe only slightly, adding cream cheese and sautéed mushrooms to the shredded cheese filling for the peppers.  Everyone loved them!  I plan to keep this recipe on my "go-to" list for campfire cookouts!

Just invited 17 people for a DO dinner at a campground in our community. 4 hrs. past dinner time we finally ended up putting the DOs in the fire itself. Are self-igniting briquettes a bad idea? What did we do wrong? It was supposed to take a little over an hour and took 4.

@Jenny - I've never hear of Self-igniting briquettes, except for incense in churches - I doubt those would be useful for cooking.
